April 30, 2006 Dear Pokemon USA, I am a long standing fan, having first watched the show when it aired in the United States for the first time. I had still been in Elementary school at that time, but would excitedly sit down in front of the TV to watch the show, even nearly missing my bus for it. I then would go on to buy the games, the cards, notebooks - anything that involved pokemon. Over all these years, we've had the same voice actors for the show, and I still applaud them for their work and skill. Veronica Taylor, Eric Stuart, and all the others knew how to capture the personality of their characters. With them, the characters had their perfect voices, and they sounded wonderful. No one can replace those voices, no one can imitate them better then the genuine voice actors. It is a mistake to get new voice actors! They may try as hard as they can to sound like the real deal, but they haven't and won't manage it! After listening to the characters with the new voices, they aren't the same characters! Ash's voice is too deep, and sounds like he is sick. Brock sounds alot older then he is. James sounds like he has some type of an english accent that he shouldn't have! Was Pikachu the only one spared from having their voice mutilated? Please, use the old voice actors! These new ones aren't working! Long time fans like myself would never want them to have new actors, not when the voices are so badly off! If you want to save money, cut the edits being done, not the quality of the voice acting. Please give us back the character's voices. Sincerely, Marissa O'Donley
