My name is Lauren Sweeney and I am 14 years old.
 
I have heard that you will be replacing the original voice actors for the English dub of Pokemon. This has saddened and dissapointed me.. because I have watched and thoroughly enjoyed the Pokemon series for the whole 8 years that it has been showing in Australia.
 
The show was a major part of my childhood. I grew up with these characters. To hear them voiced by anyone else would just be foreign to my ears... the voices are a part of the characters, part of their identities. If you take that away then you can't believe them as characters anymore.
 
Many fans will stop watching the show because they will not be able to take the show seriously anymore if all they can think about is how strange the characters sound. Even children as young as 6 will be able to tell the difference. 10 year olds on Pokemon fan forums are already posting messages saying "Hey all their voices changed! :(". It's a change that could potentially ruin the show.
 
By trying to save a little money, you are risking a whole lot.
