Dear Pokemon USA, I am one of many displeased fans. On hearing the voices of the characters Saturday, I am appalled at the butchering that was done. What are you hoping to achieve by using new voice actors? It surely isn't keeping the best interests of your own show at heart! The voice acting was horrible, at best. The important characters don't even sound like themselves with the new voice actors you have hired for it. Do you know why? Because no one, and I mean no one, can match them like the original voice actors could and can. No one but Veronica Taylor could manage to capture Ash's voice as well as she did; no one could get James' voice just right, not like his voice actor could. I applaud the new ones for trying, but they just don't cut it. They are trying to imitate something that can't be imitated. You will only get those voices with the original voice actors, not with ones you've hired in hopes that they could copy it; they can't. The show rides heavily on the voice actors that we've had all this time, ever since the beginning. Please, please, don't change voice actors. You aren't doing Pokemon any favors doing so. Cut costs by cutting your editing of the show, not by cutting off the good voice actors. Sincerely, Marissa O'Donley
