Dear Pokemon USA, I write this letter in hopes that'll reach someone who cares to listen to what a fan has to say. I congraduate Nintendo and Pokemon USA on keeping Pokemon alive and running for ten years and going, but I do have three complaints to make. All of them have me angry with you, angry with Nintendo, and with the situation as a whole. The first is the decision to change the voice actors. Why? Surely it isn't that you want cheaper ones, considering you could have gone to the "old" voice actors and negotiated with them! From what has been said, you did not do that. Why? You are sabotaging your own anime show by playing stunts like this! Many fans like myself love the old voice actors. No one can match them, and yet you tried to with the new actors. Guess what, they failed at it. Yes, you could come back and say we should give them time to get into the role, but be honest, no amount of settling into the role is going to fix Brock's horribly wrong voice - he sounds like an old man, come on! - and how Misty's voice is too high for her, too girly. I won't even go into what was wrong with characters like Jessie, James, and Meowth, and don't even dare think about the monstrosity that was the voice acting for Ash! No one with functioning ears could say his voice actor could imitate Veronica Taylor, and that he managed it in that special. And the theme song! Who thought of that horribly thing? It didn't sound anything like the theme for Pokemon should. It sounded like it was for a totally different show altogether. The show had better songs when under 4Kids supervision then the new company. The third is the fact you are not trying to get it aired on Kids' WB. That is depriving many of us that don't have cable of seeing the show that we love, and doing it without a second thought! All anyone is asking is that you use the same voice actors. Can't you please give us that, at least? Sincerely, Marissa O'Donley
