Project Name: Phone Calls
Objective: Express our concerns about the decreasing quality of the Pokémon anime and how we will not watch Diamond & Pearl or purchase the 9th movie on DVD.
Materials: A phone and maybe some notes to remind you what to discuss.
Date Due: Continuous.
Frequency: Twice a week.

Please take note of the current situation.

There are no steps to describe this project, as it is freelance.

Call Pokémon USA at the following number:

1-646-497-0400

It is highly recommended that you emphasize that you are not going to watch Diamond & Pearl, but here's a checklist for calling PUSA:

  • Politely request to be directed to Amy Wexler at Public Relations
  • Introduce yourself by stating your name and saying you're a representative of SOVA.
  • Explain how long you've been a fan of Pokémon and how the original VAs have contributed to your liking of the show.
  • Express your thoughts on the initial VA switch and how it has prevented you from watching/enjoying Battle Frontier. At this point, you may tell them you are not going to purchase the 9th movie or watch Diamond & Pearl.

PUSA is open Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 6 PM Eastern Standard Time and requires long-distance (if you are unable to make long-distance calls because of the possible charge, contact us and we will give you SOVA's exclusive phone card information).

If you are uncomfortable talking to someone directly, you may leave a message afterhours at Amy Wexler's voice mail:

1-917-369-2028

Another great way to be heard is to call Cartoon Network on their viewer response line and leave a message. We are encouraging you to call everyday during the month of May! You can reach that response line here:

1-877-827-2671

The new ideas you need to empathize in your messages include:

  • Introduce yourself by stating you’re a longtime fan of Pokémon.
  • Explain how the original VAs have contributed to your liking of the show. State some of the VAs' names (Veronica Taylor, Eric Stuart, etc.)!
  • Say the new voices actors have prevented you from watching/enjoying Battle Frontier and you will continue to be discouraged from watching the Diamond & Pearl season.
  • Tell them you watch all reruns of Advanced Battle and Pokémon Chronicles.

These points should balance the message out to being just over a minute long. Do not leave a message over two minutes. Cartoon Network’s viewer response line is open 24/7 and is a toll-free number.

Here are some overall guidelines:

  • Always use a calm tone and be polite and courteous.
  • Allow them to talk, but make sure you are still able to get your message across.
  • Do not demand anything. Just express your feelings and hopes.
  • Do not call them every hour of the day – this will do more harm than good.
